About Me

Hi, I’m Raphael Haefeli and I’m a freelance web designer in Portland, Oregon. I’m focused in creating web sites that are compatible with today’s web standards, accessibility, and usability.
I’ve been involved with computers in general since an early age, starting with my dad’s beautiful little box that I thought it was really cool - a Macintosh Classic. A powerful little machine with 1MB of RAM and a 8Mhz CPU. WOW! We’ve come a long ways since then…
At age 18 I left Brazil to pursue my college education in the United States. It was a long and hard road but I managed to graduate a few years later with a Bachelor in Computer Information Systems. I got my diploma and headed west to Oregon where I got a job in the IT department of a very, very large semiconductor company. I was forced to leave my IT job in 2006 and I’ve been working at my home office with the web and other interactive media since then. My expertise is in front-end web design always focusing on web standards, accessibility, and usability.
